High Performance Buildings

Today, the way buildings are built is increasingly complicated and fragmented. At the same time, the built environment is continuing to demand increased levels of efficiency and sustainability. It is imperative to look beyond where we are today to discover more effective solutions to make buildings operations more efficient and “persistent” through the life of the building. To be successful, all sectors of the built environment need to be engaged in this process. This presentation will share some of our recent lessons learned and case studies from buildings that have helped us learn how to achieve “persistent” energy savings.

Michele Sagehorn
Red Car Analytics

Michele Sagehorn has worked for over 15 years on high performance buildings, including as a leading commissioning agent. From her background as a quality assurance engineer in the automotive industry, she brings to commissioning a standard of care that is unique to the built environment. Her experience spans numerous project types, including leadership on eight ZNE and twelve carbon-neutral buildings. In 2018, Michele and her colleagues launched Red Car Analytics, a company dedicated to engaging clients in building and operating high performance buildings through analytics.
